Searching Pi

The Search π website does just that, allows you to search the first 3.2 billiion digits of pi for a string of numbers.

It’s a difficult concept to grasp, a decimal number that never ends, but when I talked* about this web-site with Year 9 – pointing out that they would find their phone number in pi if they searched – it gave them some understanding.

This site also has an option to print out a certain section of π.

* Yes, “talked”.  Not able to show them, because the site is blocked.
